Reflections // 6 months

Dear Baby,

As of now you have been my constant companion, most faithful travel buddy, and best friend for six months. Only three more months until we get to high five using our actual hands! But I'm pretty sure you like your daddy better than me, you always kick his hand more. The other day you gave him about the best high five we could ask for right now, your little limb pressing against my insides. Daddy could feel your little hand right through my tummy, he didn't stop smiling all day.

Thanks for letting me take you to the Philippines! I was a little nervous about all of the hiking and swimming we would be doing (also cliff jumping, which only happened once, honest!), but you were a champ through it all.

My mommy gave daddy and I a baby heart monitor, she sent it all the way across the ocean! It's our new favorite toy and we really do listen to your heart beat almost every day! 145 is my new favorite number.

It's fun for me to see my body change, and I feel like I have grown so much in the past few weeks alone! {Even if everyone says I look small still, which is getting harder to hear and continue being polite every single day.} You should be about a pound now-grow baby grow! The hair tie trick, along with my faithful beband get us through most days. Last Friday I wore a shirt to work that kept riding up above my belly letting everyone see more than they ever wanted to. That will be the first shirt to be officially retired because of your successful growth. Other than that I am as hungry as a teenage boy 24/7. Last night I had a meal at 2 am, because I could.

Can't wait to hear your heart again!

Love,
Mommy
