The thing you should know about Seoul is that everything that is not a building is a park-seriously. And I think that is one of the neatest things about the city. No matter how many times Steven and I go into Seoul we will never be able to see all of the parks. Some parks really are just playgrounds and grass, but most have a history and a few fun quirks to them. Boramae for example is an old Air Force base for the ROKAF (Republic of Korea Air Force). Along with grass fields, badminton courts, croquet, playgrounds, etc., the entire place acts as a museum of what was once there, with antique planes on display and the old radio tower still standing. The city has also installed a pond at the south end of the park where a fountain is located which plays five times a day choreographed to music*.
Since we were on cloud nine already having been able to see our baby, we were just thrilled to be spending time together in such a lovely place. (Too much sap?)
Anyways, pictures!
Apparently there's a sweet farmers market that goes down at Boramae every Saturday. We didn't purchase anything, but those succulents really almost came home with me. I mean three for 5 dollars? I shoulda.
